What to say

A women I work with and chat with everyday is going through a rough time(I consider her my friend). Her husband is dying and the time is close. He needed a liver but his body couldn't wait as long as the transplant list was asking him too. She was at work yesterday and when she told me how bad he was, she fell apart. After I left her I of course went on to tell other people in our group. She is the type of person who doesn't want bother other people. Of course she is not bothering us with this at all. I got a call from my BF to tell me that she got the call early this morning. The "get the kids and come to the hospital" call. The doctors are keeping him comfortable on morphine. We are a lost on what to do. What do you do? I have this urge to knit her a shawl or something to give her a "hug" and remind her that there are people out there who care about her. She is close to my age with 3 young boys.

You never know what will happen tomorrow people, remember that

Ugh

That is how I feel. Sure enough the Kiddies gave me their germs (well I did teach them to share). My Mom sent lots of chocolate (Big hugs on that mom, Thank You)

Well I was home sick for two days and not much was accomplished by me (other then sleeping) except these new born socks

baby socks (again)

One of my co workers is going to be a grandma for the first time, a girl, and what little girl doesn't need socks with ruffles! Yarn is Cascade Fixation in Pink, Needle size 5 Magic Loop, and Time about 3 hours over 2 days. I basically made them up as I knitted.

This is BIG!!!!! Well to me anyway. I was reading through the Sock A Month blog and I came across these socks:

wow that is my yarn!!!

and I thought to myself, Wow that is really pretty yarn!. Then I kept reading the entry and it turns out that the yarn IS MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now when I dye yarn I always think it looks pretty in the hank but worry that it will look horrible knitted up, well thank you SDQuilter for showing me that my yarn looks even better knitted up!

Yes I am alive

it just has been a bit overwhelming here. The bug that started going around about 6 weeks ago has not really left. It keep going around. No matter how much cleaning, disinfecting, keeping everyone separated it just keeps going around. Just when it seems everyone is better and it may be over the next round of fevers, vomiting (always fun) and Dr.'s visits start again. Of course the kiddies have to share and we get sick too! I have to bring 2 to the Dr.'s tomorrow. Ugh!!! Plus it is mid winter recess so we are all home!

I want spring here now!!!!!!!!!!

I will be back as soon as I can.

Mom - feel free to send more chocolate!

I am back

Yeah well so much for more posting. You know when everything just hits the fan? Well that is how it has been here. Nothing too bad just a lot of little annoying things. Like waking up this morning to find the temp inside the house is 50 degrees. yep the heat went. Nice. Anyway the guy is on his way to fix it.

So now I lets see if I can get caught up by March ; )

I got caught up in a new craft. Embroidery.

New addition?

I took some scrap fabric, traced the pattern (free from PatternBee) and had fun. Nothing fancy just little backstitches to draw with the thread.

little red

It is called "Little Red Riding Hood"

I am going to hang this in the girls room. I have also become hook! I ordered this adorable "12 Dancing Princesses" It is 14 x 36 and adorable! I am waiting for some supplies so I can start it (interfacing and such) I am going to use fabric I already have in my stash. See I am doing good ; )
